Kapa’a Town: JO 2 is (Our Favorite) expensive and worth it, Lemon Grass has great Fish, The Crepe Food-truck, Wailua Shave Ice (Organic), The Local, Kauai Juice Company (Golden Milk!), ONOs for Breakfast. Bubba’s Burgers are simple and a great price. Oasis on the Beach at Waipouli Beach Resort is Wonderful. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and is a beautiful, relaxing setting. Not terribly expensive. And Lava Lava Beach Club has crazy delicious Fish Tacos. And my All time Favorite Ice cream is Tropical Dreams in the Kapa’a Safeway Marketplace.
Lihue Town: Lilikoi’s, (Second Favorite) the Ahi Snacker is to die for! their French Ice-cream cake is insanely delicious. All their Poke dishes are wonderful. Great View of Kalapaki Bay. Cafe Portofino is incredible Italian and you will want to make reservations. Also on Kalapaki Bay. Great way to spend an evening. Not too expensive.
Poipu Town: Red Salt, Crazy expensive and crazy wonderful. A great spot for a Romantic Dinner for Mom and Dad.
Eating House 1849 is very good and fairly pricey. Da Crack is very good, affordable and a fast food walk-up. Great Lunch Choice on the South Shore. Puka Dog in Poipu Village is well known for their extraordinary Hot-dogs in a homemade bun.
Lappert’s Ice-cream in Kukuiula Shopping Center and Waimea is a Favorite for all. Hawaiian Made Ice-cream.
Best Winter Beaches for their beauty and snorkeling safety are All North Shore right now. Lydgate Beach Park is very family friendly, and is protected by a giant jetty from large waves.
Anini Beach is amazing. Typically calm with great snorkeling, especially in the summer. The Reef is a distance out where all the waves break, creating a GIANT natural swimming pool.
Hanalei Bay is really really pretty. However Parking is limited.
South Shore: Swell can be Rough in the Summer Months.
Poipu Beach is fun and will have a lot of tourist.
Baby Beach in Poipu is not deep and is well protected by a large reef.
Salt Pond is Really Really Nice. Well worth the trip. Also protected by a Reef.
ATTRACTIONS that our Family and Guests have done and LOVED! I recommend that you google all of these.
Kilauea Botanical Gardens is Breathtaking if you Love Exotic Flowers and Plants like we do.
Jurassic Ranch: ATV or Horseback riding.
Waimea Canyon on the Far West Side of the Island is Kauai’s Grand Canyon. If you have any fear of Heights, this may not be for you. If you are not afraid of heights, it’s astounding!
Paddle Boarding on Wailua River. Super easy and fun. Not expensive.
Smith Family Luau. The rate is $98 per person. This is a MUST DO, MUST SEE SHOW. You will want to book BEFORE YOU ARRIVE! It is likely to be full for your entire stay on island.
There are about 1000 other things to do. Hiking Trails Galore. Many Beautiful Waterfalls to see. Kayaking on two different fresh water rivers. You may want to think about staying 6 months to see and do it all.
We Welcome you to Paradise…..
